www.deltasociety.org   The Delta Society is US-based charity.  Evaluates and registers therapy animals in the USA.  Offers training in animal-assisted therapy and has a good selection of publications in this field.

www.petsastherapy.org  UK-based Pets as Therapy register volunteers and their own temperament-tested pets to provide therapeutic visits to people in a variety of institutions.  The charity is also involved in the treatment of dog-phobic children at the Sunderland Royal Hospital 

www.ccst.freeserve.co.uk  Scotland-based Canine Concern Scotland Trust runs the Therapet pet visiting scheme.
