Dr Anne McBride

Anne is a Senior Lecturer in the field of Applied Animal Behaviour and Human-Animal Interactions at the University of Southampton. Her current research areas include: human attitudes, perceptions and interactions with animals, factors in the development of problem behaviours; the role of Animal Assisted Therapy in the UK, issues relating to housing and pet owners. She lectures nationally and internationally, and sits on various national and international organisations and advisory committees to do with animal welfare, responsible dog ownership, exotic animal welfare and ethics, animal behaviour and training, and the human-animal bond.
