Bradley qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 1978 and after a year working as an assistant vet established his own small animal practice in Pinner, Middlesex. This grew to a group of five practices in North West London, employing approximately 40 support staff and nine veterinary surgeons. In 2017 he sold his practices to the Linnaeus Group, and he now works as Clinical Governance Lead across their practices.
He is a trustee of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, Vice-President of International Cat Care. He was an elected RCVS Council member from 2005 to 2017 and RCVS President in 2015/16.
His passion is for recognition of the skills required to become an advanced general practitioner, and to that end completed an MSc and then a Professional Doctorate with Middlesex University, concentrating on the application of clinical auditing to the veterinary profession. In 2017 he was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons for Meritorious Contributions to Clinical Practice.
