Becoming a member of the Society for Companion Animal Studies connects you to a community of researchers, practitioners, and professionals advancing understanding of human–animal relationships.

Individual Membership (Online Registration)

Individual membership can be completed online.

Annual rates:

  • Individuals – £25

  • Students – £15

Individual Members receive all benefits listed above, including voting rights at the AGM.

Organisational Membership (By Enquiry)

Organisational membership is available to organisations wishing to support SCAS and engage their staff or volunteers in our work.

Annual rates:

  • Registered charities – £50

  • Colleges and universities – £50

  • Commercial companies – £100

Organisational Members are eligible for:

  • SCAS member rates at the annual conference for employees or volunteers

  • Five complimentary places at each monthly webinar for employees or volunteers

Organisational memberships are managed manually and are not processed via the online payment links.

How to Join

Individual membership registration involves two steps.
Both steps must be completed for membership to be recorded.

Please read the steps below carefully before making payment.

Step 1 – Make Payment

Select the appropriate membership type below and complete payment via PayPal.

After payment, please retain:

  • A screenshot or copy of your PayPal receipt, or

  • Your PayPal transaction ID or the email address used for payment

You will need this information for the registration form.

[Pay £25 – Individual Membership]

Step 2 – Complete the Registration Form

After making payment, complete the membership registration form and upload your proof of payment or provide your transaction details.

Membership cannot be recorded unless both payment and form submission are completed.

Once the form is submitted, you will receive an automatic welcome email. At this stage, your membership is considered active, subject to routine verification.

All memberships are subject to standard payment verification by the SCAS Administrator.
